How to do a risk assessment on internal audit in BRC issue 8?

Started by , Jun 14 2019 11:25 PM

Hi!

I'm working in a food plant in Mexico and i'm new in the forum. :bye:

I need help about how to do a risk assessment on internal audit in BRC issue 8, i don't know how to do a matrix of risk like we used in HACCP. I don't have troubles with the probability but when I want to do the severity, I do not know what classification to give.

Thank you for your help

If that's the way you want to do it then just think about the severity of something going wrong in the event of undetected lack of compliance. So you're mandated to do monthly GMP style audits anyway and this will cover a lot of your risk, e.g. CCP compliance in the plant but you may still want to cover HACCP more than once a year considering the impact if something went wrong. Likewise with any on site canteens, if something went wrong it could infect your entire workforce.
