Training - Quizzes with Pictures

Hello Everyone!

I am trying to create quizzes to coincide with our training program and verification.

Our employees speak little English. Although we can translate these documents for them, one colleague mentioned that some may not be literate. While searching the forum,I noticed an idea of making quizzes that are primary pictures

Does anyone have an example they are willing to share? Or advice on how to create this picture type quiz? I know it sounds easy "it is just pictures" but for some reason I am won

I am new to the forum and SQF and greatly appreciate any help!

Mark

Sorry about that, I accidentally submitted my post before it was complete. I am new to the forum! I am just looking for advice on starting a quiz primarily a picture quiz for non-English speaking employees.

It's ok Mark, and sorry I couldn't resist.  Welcome to the forums; I'm sure you will get plenty of input from members.

:welcome:

Thank you Simon. This is helpful!

Hi Mark,

My Quality Systems Specialist does all of our training and we have a sizeable Spanish/non-English speaking workforce as well, and she does great trainings!  She created a Power Point presentation for GMPs and uses pictures on every page to depict the topic for that page, so hand washing, smoking, hairnets, etc.  Because we have also had issues with comprehension & compliance, she has integrated the quiz into the actual presentation, so it's easier for the employees to understand & follow.  Every couple of slides is a quiz question that each employee answers on paper and that is collected at the end of the training.  It's worked out quite well for us, I hope you can create something equally as useful!

Good Luck!

Do you grade the quizzes from the training? I'm trying to figure out if it's enough for the employees to have to answer questions related to the training, or if we have to actually grade the quizzes and go over missed questions.

3-year old thread.

There may be a delay in answering.

Ah, thread necromancy. A tale as old as internet forums. Well by definition not quite as old.

Because I just avoided a NC on this one I'll answer.

What I personally do for questions with no answer is just initial the empty box. If it's important I'll actually write in that the employee demonstrated knowledge. I've never been called out on it. I have trained some employees less able to write than read and a couple that can do neither.
