Dry Facility and Floor Cleaning

Good Afternoon,

We are a dry shelling facility and want to give the floors a good clean, but due to being a dry facility pressure washing is out because of splashing, and buffing may do the same thing. Thought about environmental testing after for documentation, is any one familiar with a way to go about this? Perhaps a machine that keeps the splash contained? Thank you!

Mopping? We are dry too. We do Mopping with Quat Ammonia mixed with water.

Current client uses a fast drying floor machine that runs a quick 2 step process, works great!

Wanted to do a really deep clean, that equal to like pressure washing for any bulid up. Do you perhaps know of any recourse off hand you have that I could read to get us more comfortable with our options regarding that? Thank you for responding btw :)

I would hire a specialized company, to be honest.

If your company has the means invest in a zamboni type floor cleaning unit.  If the company doesn't want to put up that kind of money rent a unit.  Some rental companies can even provide some expertise in the unit and cleaning agent that would work best in your application.

I will tell you, we use a zamboni type unit which has some ozone generator on it.  The cleaning is OK, not great.  Areas that are really dirty we pre-spray chlorine solution on that area before the zamboni unit drives over it.

There's no splashing, or residual water leftover.  Just some wetness on the ground which dries in a matter of minutes.

A cheap method is stiff bristle brush.  Spray chlorine solution on the floor, brush, and follow it with a mop.  You don't want to be using a lot of water prior or with the brushing to keep splash and splatter minimized.  You will have to clean or replace the brush head and mop frequently with this method.

Our practice is to periodically at the end of each shift carry out mops and scrapping to dry. Mix water with chlorine. Carry out deep cleaning manually with a brush - a cheap way or using a mop machine.
Because our production area only consists of 4 lines and is not extensive.

The zamboni style cleaners are great. We are also a shelling facility and we use it daily. Scheduled floor sanitations, we use mops/stiff bristle brush with quats/water mix as per instruction. With the zamoni in place, you will find your floor stays very clean and keeps build up from occurring.
