If an ingredient supplier recalls must we carry out a customer recall?

if one ofmy suppliers ofegg has a recall and I produce a meal for this supplier with his eggs should I do a recall too and inform SQF too?

Just so I understand - a supplier to your company has a recall in effect for eggs - they sell eggs to your company and you make a "meal" that that your company sells.

 

Yes, you are subject to issuing a recall in accordance with 2.6.0

 

You are required under SQF code to send an immediate message detailing the problem/recall to 

Safe Quality Food Institute

foodsafetycrisis@sqfi.com

 

And then contact you CB at whatever emergency method they have in place -email or phone #.

 

There are consquences for not contacting SQFI and the CB which include certification suspension.
