Has anyone heard of this kind of affidavit? We are a cheese plant and sometimes have extra milk, the place where would sell our extra milk is asking for one of these

The buyer wants an assurance that the cows that produced the milk have not been fed bovine meat, bone, bone meal and potentially from other type of animals as well.

Your company would need to go to your suppliers of milk and get the same assurance.

The affidavit is normally handled by an attorney/notary.

Your buyer may do lab checks for this and if found and you have signed off on the affidavit your company will most certainly be held liable for damages.

So, there is a bit of work here to be done and you need to determine if the time/effort is worth it.

As Glenn stated above and, not coming from a dairy background, wouldn't you want the same assurance for the milk you purchase for your products? Just for my own curiosity.
