Can we keep BRC at current plant and implement CanadaGAP at new one?
We are thinking of renting a bay in a different location as our storage/distribution center
We would like to do Canada GAP there instead of BRC, would that work ?
Can we keep BRC at our current processing plant and implement GAP at the new one?
Thanks
Jean-C.
Sure, that is fine - however a question, what was the driver for your company going BRC in the first place?
If it was customer driven you may want to inform them that you'll be using a company DC that is not covered under BRC (or for that matter any gfsi scheme) and ensure they are ok with that.
It was customer driven and we have been BRC certificated for years. However, we would not want to do BRC at the new location as it is only going to be used a s a distribution center
Thanks for your prompt reply.

My pleasure Jean-C.
We are actually seeing a trend where customers of our clients that are SQF certified and in some cases also BRC, IFS, FSSC certified etc are telling them that they want assurances that the entire supply chain process from the facility thru all stops (DC's , storage facilities, etc.) are also SQF or another GFSI.
We are having logistic and transportation companies contact us now after their customers (our clients) informed them they had to "get with the program" so to speak.
