Hi Team,

Can someone guide me on the best way to do PRPs verification.

I was using questionnaire but my auditor challenged the method because it does not cover the time frame for the verification exercise. Your input regarding this is of utmost help.

Thanks in advance

Rose

Hi Rose,

You probably need to add some specific context of the situation you refer to get meaningful responses.

Hi Charles,

I have structured questions for each PRP whereby I cross check the requirements of the PRP against what we are doing on the ground to check its implementation. Eg in Cleaning and sanitizing, i collect all the due diligence records and confirm  they are correctly done and also do a post cleaning inspection to ensure the cleaning is indeed done.

The auditor argued i need to have a time frame ( Like 14 days) for the verification but not just a one day excercise.

Thanks

Rose

Hi Rose,

^^^^(red) do you mean you do this every day or ?

post cleaning inspection is documented /  visual every day ?

Verification is done annually but that is the methodolody that we use. however, there is the daily post cleaning inspection that is done by the Hygiene supervisor to confirm that the cleaning clue has performed their duties as intended

Requirements may relate to the product/process.

Verification is supposed to demonstrate effectiveness of the procedure after routine implementation.

I deduce that Verification for the cleaning PRP is formally documented as being done (visually) once per year.

If so, TBH,  I'm not surprised as to the auditor's comment.

IMEX (low haccp risk process) cleaning verification  is carried out by micro. swabbing at various (zoned) locations every month. More frequently if limits not complied.

Some facilities use ATP on a daily basis, ie ongoing documented Verification.

You could make yr daily post cleaning inspection a documented  "Verification"  Procedure although I am doubtful  if "visual" would be adequate data-wise. (depends on product/process maybe).

PS- not sure about fssc but IIRC sqf has some clear, concise Guidance explanation for cleaning verification.

1 Thank

establish a frequency in the SSOP's - verification should include onsite and records - visual verification of the procedures for cleaning for example should be done more than once per year

I would suggest a lot more.

does any one have an example of a risk assessment that determined the frequency of PRP inspections?
