We are also a packaging manufacturer. We broke our HACCP down into processes: Receiving, sheeting, printing, die cutting, finishing, storage / material handling and shipping (with separate HAQCP for Quality). Each plan describes each step in the process with actions in case of unexpected but identified issues such as damaged product, bad print or cut or glue etc and how to address them. To date we have not identified any critical control points, which we have been told is standard for packaging manufacturers as there is no food in our processes and PRPs including GMPs control the hazards.

Hi Hoosiersmoker; Just out of curiosity: are you sure you HAVE TO have CCPs in your packaging manufacturing? What standard requires that? AFAK, even food industries can have no CCP if they proof their processes're under control of PRPs

Exactly olenazh. No, CCPs aren't a requirement, and, as I said, we have not identified any CCPs. We still have to complete the HACCP process and asses all operations to confirm that, as do all manufacturers. And, as I stated, "PRPs including GMPs control the hazards" so no CCPs necessary.
