Brexit: Dairy products and meat products

I will begin by apologising that this topic will not be of relevance to the majority of readers.

 

My query is: What documentation do we need to obtain from our dairy products suppliers in order for our appointed vet to authenticate Export Health Certificates (EHC) for products that contain dairy ingredients?

 

My understanding is that we require statements from our dairy products suppliers that include: 1) any heat treatments (time versus temperature) applied by the supplier during the processing of the products we purchase, 2) confirmation that the dairy herd was free from disease (e.g. Rinder pest and foot and mouth) and that a qualified vet carries out regular inspections of the herd and administers treatments to combat disease (i.e. the herds satisfy Chapter I of Section IX of Annex III to Regulation (EC) No. 853/2004 and Directive 2009/9/EC.

 

For point 1) above, I gather we do not need to request copies of heat treatment records for every batch to present to the appointed vet to authenticate EHC - instead a statement of heat treatments applied during the process is all that is required.
