How to determine magnet strength?

Hi.
I'm from feed for poultry industry. Magnet is used to filter foreign material in feed. They will clean the magnet daily after the operation. There is no initial magnet strength provided by the supplier.
The question: Is collection of internal data of measuring magnet strength monthly can be used in validation of magnet strength?

the short answer is no

Can you find another company to come out and do that for you?  then you'll have a 3rd party certification on file

What do you mean by "internal data" ?

What level of magnetic strength are you trying to validate ?

Hi Charles,
Internal data I mentioned is our magnet strength is measured by magnetic meter every month at different points. As I'm looking the trend of data analysis from one of magnet , the magnet strength is not stable. Is this normal?

What do you mean " level of magnetic strength"? Is it the range of magnetic strength?

We have calibration certificate for magnet meter that was used to measure the magnet strength. Is it good enough?

Hi Shazlin,

^^^(red) Sorry but no idea. Never used magnets. Maybe measurement technique or natural error. Depends on size of variation.

^^^(blue) I meant what is target minimum - see the link.

I presume you have no history of data/experience so Scampi's suggestion maybe (initially) better and you can compare yr own results.

Periodic testing of magnet strength using a Gauss meter or pull test is standard for U.S. animal feed production. You want to ensure that your magnet strength is consistent over time, once it begins losing it's pull strength then it is time for replacement.  Make sure you are also calibrating your meter regularly as well. Alternately, you can pay for a third party service to come on-site and test your magnets as well, depending on your risk level and number of magnets.
