Accelerated shelf life test for juice

Hello everybody. I am looking for a protocol to do some ASLT, in orange juice. The juice is cold filled in plastic bottles, and it has to be refrigarated until the use by, date. the shelf life at this time is about 30 days, and I think 40 days will be also fine. Has anyone tried to do this by ASLT?? I was thinking of a test for 3 or 4 days to 25oC, which is the perfect temperture for yeast and moulds. Any suggestions will be useful. Thank you.

Your idea will NOT give you a shelf life because it won't replicated actual storage conditions.............it will just confirm why it needs to be refrigerated

Shelf life studies are usually performed in a controlled environment where samples can be extracted at regular intervals and compared/contrasted over a set period of time

If you are unable to do a study yourself, pay the lab to do it for you and if you never change your process, you never have to pay again

Thank you.

I am just looking for a way, not to wait for 5-6 weeks, an to do it in less time.

anyway the first cycle of expirements was succesfull, but i want a second round in a more quickly way.

To simplify it, accelarated shelf life test can't safely replace the actual shelf life test (or expiration date). Through the use of mathematical models and bibliography it can give you an estimation of the shelf life and this method is usually used when you want to push a new product fast on the shelves. This almost in no way excludes running the real shelf life test to verify that your estimation is valid.

Also, ASLT is more for the determination of other parameters when you are closing the expiration date, in your case for example is it still a juice (flavor, vitamins etc) or just orange water !!!
