Traceability in feed manufacturing

Hi. Hope your are doing well... I am working in feed manufacturing company, I am trying to develop a tractability system for my products,  my concern is with raw material management, I am receiving bulk raw material (Grains, meals) from different supplier at the same time, I don't have any means to keep each one separate, Receiving continuously so that I cant always maintain FIFO in open sheds (flat warehouse for loose material). How can I develop tractability under this circumstances.. Thanks in advance...

you can create a barcode tag for each incoming load that is then scanned into inventory

you would then scan the barcode to use the ingredient

You need some basic software to do this

There is another active pet food recall right now for salmonella FYI

actually I cant use a barcode here because these raw materials are loose like grains and wheat Bran and stored in open sheds like in the attached picture.  offloading the trucks and transferring material to production always from same side. old stock remains long time without moving until the supply is stopped

that is why I am confusing about how to manage traceability in this situation..

Yes you can

The barcode could be in a binder.........it doesn't have to be attached to the lot    What it does is allows you to electronically add/use a material

Alternatively, you can write the lot number and tons received, tons used and date until a particular lot shows zero----but that is ALOT of work
