Hello

I am looking for a short article on food safety culture for our senior management. A brief article to introduce food safety culture concept to senior management and seek their feed back. Any suggestion?

Thank you!

Hi idabar,

"Brief" is a somewhat subjective terminology..

How about a webinar  ?

Thank you Charles,

Has anybody set a KPI to set a goal for food safety culture?

If you can get your senior management to even entertain the idea of watching a video over an hour long about "food safety" ("the largest waste of time, money, and attention in the world") then you have already won.

The topic is so broad and can encompass so much, you might be hard pressed to find a brief article.

Introducing the concept is one thing, but actually doing t he work to come up with a program that is worthwhile will require a whole lot of time and effort on the part of senior management.

That, I fear, is where the real problems will appear.

I believe it is our responsibility to come up with that plan and propose it to management. Yes following it might be hard, but so is everything else in this world. The pushback comes where there are monetary implications, and that's what you need to watch out for.

I would suggest you frame it as general employee culture to decrease turnover and increase productivity. Sprinkle in some employee hapiness and retention tactics here and there. For example, allowing radios in the production area (we could argue for days about that one. Again, just an example.), rigid conformance with employee raises attached to reviews, company BBQs, etc. (idk).

This may be of use though.
