Recommendations for high-care high-risk footbath options?
Hi, can anyone give any recommendations for walkthrough footwear cleaners & sanitisers for high risk and high care facilities. We are currently using waterproof wellingtons and I'd like something that gently scrubs the sole of the footwear whilst always sanitising and providing a listeria control upon entry and exit. To make things more complicated, we have not got much space to put a large device so a full turnstile option will be out of the question. The ideal option is something that personnel can simply walk over that scrubs and disinfects at the same time whilst still allowing traffic to flow freely. Any ideas would be appreciated! Cheers Danny
Greetings Danny,
You can use a special rag with a hard scrubbing surface which can be submerged in a "tray" with disinfectant. I have seen it used in many companies. Only things that will be required is for the personnel to put a little effort to scrub the soles (something like when you get home and clean your shoes on the rag outside but a little more thorough!) and set up regular cleaning of the rag and changes of the disinfectant e.g. after some hours depending on the traffic or every day at the end of the shift (kinda depends on the personnel traffic and the condition of the area they enter from).
That's the easiest solution I can think of that is working and is not space consuming.
Hope it helps!
