PPM industry standard for complaints
Hello, what does everyone go off for the PPM for complaints? 1%. Thanks.
we've targeted 2.5------but it shell eggs so we can only control breakage so much
I think it depends on where you've been historically and what % of complaints over time are legitimate and what % are fluff nonsense
It's also a reflection on how tight your ship is; a consistent process/product with consistent, well trained staff should yield less complaints==new business/product/process/employees will naturally end up with more complaints
1% would be lovely of course, but even 100% inspection only catches 80% of issues
thanks, its poultry. one product but different lines. so anything about 2.5 3 is not the best is that about right
Wholly dependent on your product line, operations, and expectations from upper management / executive. Use historical as a guideline and then set goals for improvements, be sure to be reasonable on the goals especially if it is retail and require cold chain distribution.
