Product Recall

I like to assume that the Orange Juice Fiasco (OJF) case as confronted by Simon but to-date, evidently short of an appropriate reply would finally go down to a "product recall".

On that assumption, the result of the preliminary risk assessment would point towards a customer level recall as instituted by the manufacturer on a voluntary basis. Upon this decision, the Recall Committee would immediately invoke upon its "Crisis Management Team" or whatever name one wishes to call them.

Initial activities would focus around these areas: internal production batch / stock records (batch number as traced) and sales / despatch records, withhold and isolate any "affected stock" with specific "non-withdrawal" notice...

External activities: sales team to liase with all known distributors/sub-agents to engage stock withdrawal / recovery activities........Subsequent post recovery activities will be discussed later once stocks are recovered and reconcialiated.

Meanwhile, I am sure there are many other methods in pursuing a product recall. Feel free to comment.

Cheers
