Bakery oven gloves documentation

Ok bakery crowd 😃
We want to buy some more 'oven mitts' because the ones we have look as if they are just bits of sack that got cut and sewn 🙈
Question is, do we need any paper on the gloves?
As in, document of compliance.
They will be 'accidental' food contact at some stage...
I found some that were silicone on one side and cloth on the other.
Thoughts? Advice?
Thanks in advance 👍🤗

Greetings AJL,

Silicone all the way, so they can be easily cleaned. Cloth can retain microorganisms if it is not cleaned properly and also after they start coming apart.

If you can find mitts with a food contact MSDS it would be nice, but don't fret too much about it. Point of food contact compliant materials for surfaces is mostly for long contact exposure or under stress circumstances (oily/acidic foods, high heat during packaging etc etc).

Regards!
