HI All,

I am working for candy manufacturing , maintenance manager, does not want to do CIP , he wants to do Acid was ( Citric acid ) twice a week instead of full CIP.

His thinking is that ATP swabs are passing so there is no need for full CIP.

What is your opinion about that ? In my experience Citric Acid clean was done every 6 months, and CIp was more often

Confections can have some unusual cleaning requirements, but ATP is only a generalization of how well something was cleaned, not an actual measure of microbial risk.

I'd go with your experience.

And tell the maintenance manager to F off.
