USA RASFF notifications in 2024

In 2024, 211 RASFF notifications related to North American products were declared, more than half due to the presence of

mycotoxins.

The mycotoxins were primarily detected in nuts and oilseeds.

Many of these controls were based on EU Regulation 2019/1793, which establishes intensified frequency controls on US 

pistachios and peanuts.
