Nutrition Labeling for 640g Soup Tubs – How Many Servings?

We make ready to soups, our tub size is 640g and RACC for soups is 245g. Our package will contain 2 tubs.

I am confused how to label our tub and package with 2 tubs in it.

As per RACC our serving size will be 1 cup(245g) and 2.5 servings per container. As per FDA if the If your product is not in discrete units, the total weight of your product is less than 200 percent of the RACC, the serving size for the container is one serving.

Should we label 1 serving per container serving size as 1 Conatiner (640g).

What would be the best way?

Based on labels on other soups, you should call your container = 1 serving but double column all the nutritional information for 1 Cup of product and 1 serving of product.  Except your product is more than 200% of 245 or more than 490g.  So in that case, you're still using 2 columns.  One for serving size and one for the container.

attaching a slide from a free training I watched from EAS Consulting group.  Labeling is headache inducing.  Good Luck!
