Hello!!

Pl. help me for the training resources like posters, video etc.) for the food handler working in manufacturing.

Anyone got good resources or recommendations?
Hi MDG,

To me having videos isn't a must for hygiene/ safety... training - most of the time it's quite boring, employees are not stimulated, eventually you're not sure to reach your purpose (the knowledge of employees related to food safety and safe behaviour).

What I can just suggest you is to take some photos of what 'you, employee have to do', and 'what you have not to do' implying them : you just have to take the worse ways of working asking them to sham some bad actions - with very dirty habits, without any saftey equipment, bad manuf. examples depending on the manufactured product, e.g some meat stored on the floor, dirty equipment, beef+pork+lamb on the same table for meat industries...Other participants can give their opinion about what is right/ wrong, it's much more concrete for all of them. Proposing this session at hte end of the training will allox youn to have an 'evaluation' and to keep them awaken.
Of course talking each other having a dynamic training is more efficient than describing some posters not directly related to your manuf. product,

That's my opinion, trainings I tought in this way were quite efficient/ behaviour, but you have so many efficient training that is not THE solution!

Emmanuel
Dear Penard:

I think your idea is very good as the video taken is directly related to your environment rather than other places

Dear MDG,

The immediate usefulness will probably depend on yr industry / existing technical competence / intended target audience.

In particular, some food sectors offer excellent training material via their own / government backed programs. Often free.

USFDA offer a large range of playable on-line / downloadable videos. Broadband is very helpful but often not mandatory. The amount of "chat" varies.

Eg - range of impressive hygiene /wet process oriented videos here, basic text content is separately downloadable.
videos ( http://seafood.ucdav...p/scpvideos.htm )
text ( http://nsgl.gso.uri....00001index.html )

More general US food related video library here -

Detailed FDA retail foods training material site -

I tried a few videos. Even the streaming versions seemed to work surprisingly well although some trial and error testing over choices of modem etc may be required as noted on the sites. There tends to be a lot of talking on some videos, depends what you want.
