Dear All:
Good day everybody. I am quite new to this forum. Currently my company has implemented ISO 22000:2005 practises.
Could anyone can help me in the food safety requirements for delivery transportation?
Thanks.

BUMP for Kelly.
A few examples:
- Must be clean
- Free from odd shell or chemical smell, no sign of chemical spillage
- Free from dust/dirt
- Free from pest activity e.g. ants, feather etc.
- Interior part is smooth etc.
- Did not previously carry any hazardous item
- No sign of breakage e.g. glass, brittle material etc.

Yong:
Thanks for the information. But I do understand sometimes there is regulation for exportation such as we need to fumigate the container, isn't it?
We have customer requested the driver to wear face mask, hainet and cover shoe during delivery. Is this necessary to every company?

To Kelly:
Yes, there is a requirement for those containers meant for export to undergo fumigation including the containers for food items [My warehouse colleague told me that the containers for food items must be of grade A which is the 'cleanest' one]. Only a few recognised pest controllers can do this fumigation. Kindly check the website of PCAM (Pest Control Association of Malaysia, if I am not mistaken).
Then, you may need to check whether there is any smell upon arrival of the particular container at your plan and before you load your products into it.
So far I have not encountered or heard about the requirements that require the driver to wear face mask, hairnet and shoes cover during delivery. What is the product you produce - highly sensitive food???

To Yong:
we are the flour manufacturing company. One of our customer requested the delivery driver to wear face mask, hair net and cover shoe during loading at their premise.
