Meat Processing - Product in Process Identification

Hello Everybody!
I work in a meat processing plant. For the identification of our product in process (meat parts and marinated meat parts) we have been writing down the name of each product in a patty paper, and placing it on the meat. Someone told me taht for our SQF audit we have to have a better way of identification since the paper can become a foreign material.
Do you know a better way of identificatin for meat in process.
Thanks a lot!
Silvia

Not very familiar with red meat processing.... but instead of something convenient, why not an 8X11 coloured paper inserted into a clear polybag. This way it wouldn't be missed. Sort of like the requirement to use "blue bandages"
