Has anyone added radioactivity considerations to their HACCP Plan?

Has anyone added radioactivity to their HACCP Plan ; list of hazards ie Micrbiological, Chemical, Physical, and now Radioactive hazard to the HACCP assessment? Is this rumor or future posible additons to HACCP?

This would depend on if the radioactive hazard is posed in or around processing and can contaminate food in any way.

Thanks for the reply, sometimes we want to keep it real, but the auditing bodies sometimes ask for things that are , " not so revelant" .
I agree with your reply in that only the areas affected by the the Japanese supply chain , would have to add this to there HACCP assesment. Then when the Iodine 131 or Cesium 134 Isotope half life is no longer a threat, the Japanese areas at risk will subside.

I heard recently at a seminar that the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) in the USA is considering adding Radiation and Transportation as elements to be included in their "HACCP". They don't actually call it HACCP but instead refer to it as preventative measures.
