It is a cool idea.....however having been in the laboratory when the organisms stopped reading the book and stopped responding to antibiotics, think we may get the edge for a bit, but then they overcome our most clever ideas.  Think in our battle of us vs. microorganisms we will continue to win battles but are unlikely to win the war.

Did you ever see the news story about the black silicon surface that has microscopic pillars that slice bacteria apart and kill them when they touch the surface?  It was a great read.

Pathogens will adapt.

Had not read about....until you pointed it out.  That is cool.  They will probably still adapt....but until they do... :ninja:

Simplicity is the hallmark of genius, or so I have heard.

Microorganisms have triumphed over all efforts  towards eradication no matter what we throw at them.  As mentioned, battles can be one, but the war, never.

I remember something similar on a parallel years ago to diatomaceous earth and the effects on mites to crops (commercial flowering?).  It was supposed to be food safe micro punji sticks.  ;)
