Substitute for scrubbing pads for cleaning stainless kettles

hello :giggle:  just want to ask, if we can't use scrubbing pads in cleaning stainless kettles what could you suggest as substitute? thanks much! :giggle:

Have you tried using caustic soda solution? Off course you have to rinse the kettle with water after that

Do you worry your kettle being scratched if using scrub pad? The other option is using smooth sand paper if caustic soda doesn't work.

i'm worried of scrub pads that may create debris.

Tell me about it! On Mr I's suggestion I switched to white scrub pads, at least now its easier to see when they're scrubbed to bits.

It still bothers me though.

Are you still getting bits Magenta?  I hadn't noticed that before.

The white ones also shouldn't scratch the metal at all.

I'm not getting bits, but it's beacuse they are so plainly dirty that the operators throw them out  instead of continuing to use them

ohhhh ok.  I was worried because your issue before was the green pieces coming off of the scrubby

Caustic works very well because it is well.....caustic, but make sure you are using the correct chemical strength and are using it correctly with all of the right PPE.  Otherwise it is easy for someone to get hurt quite easily.
