Hello ALL,

I've got a question regarding the mitigation risk of silicone in terms of high temperature.

As in this case, the silicone was painted on the surface of AHU frame which made by stainless steel(as a lubricant or a glue of attaching the layer sheet, who knows....) and we dont have time of conducting manual cleaning at all before installation.

Since the AHU is supposed to filtering hot air (over 120 degree C) that supplying to fluid bed, do you guys have any experience or regulation knowledge in terms of the risk of mitigation. Any in this case, if the silicone fall into the scope of food contact material (EC 1935/2004) or not?

Thanks for your clarification.

BR,
