Soap is for the cleaning purpose and it does not have the effectiveness of a  sanitizer. It is advisable to use the sanitizer after washing the hand with soap.

We use a soap with sanitizer built in and have done so for years.  Just ensure that the you check the specifications of the product to ensure it is effective and approved for food handlers.  Also, suggest you do some in-house swabs on hands to test effectiveness.  Anytime we looked at changing brands we would request a sample of the product to use and do APC swabs on hands before and after to ensure we were getting an effective cleaning.

2 Thanks
