Malicious tampering / contamination checklist
Does anybody have a simple check list to share for conducting a risk assessment on malicious tampering / contamination?
Just trying to get some ideas.
Thanks,
Simon
The U.S. FDA have developed a useful too called the Food Defense Plan Builder. While it may be a bit larger in scope than what you're looking for I'd wager that it contains a good amount if you go through it. I'm not sure that it's totally in line with the upcoming FSMA Final Rule on Food Defense, but it's a good starting point as to what FDA is suggesting to tighten up Food Defense / Site Security.

Thank you very much Esquef, I was looking for something quick and simple, but I appreciate it may well not be possible.
I will take a look and report back.
Thanks,
Simon

Hi Simon,
Is there any particular context associated with above ? It's a very popular topic 9eg via TACCP, VACCP, Food Defense).
It generically comes up in some detail within the GFSI ruminations over "Vulnerability", notably as to how it is inter-related / differentiated with/from food fraud and pure haccp.
From memory, as TACCP/VACCP (I forget which, prob.former), it is also analysed in depth (risk assessed) within PAS 96 via explicit examples / RA rankings.
A checklist as such will probably be generically voluminous though the Builder, I think, sub-categorizes if you can get past the opening "complexity" [I couldn't].
USDA also offer a direct downloadable checklist ca 2 pages from memory.
All the above are variously attached in posts here.
I took a look at the Food Defense Plan Builder and it is very comprehensive and gives you a gap action list at the end, which is nice.
Not bad at all for free. Would recommend it for leading one through a project to implement a food defense system.
Cheers,
Simon
For those that do not have a Food Defense plan, or need to strengthen an existing plan for FSMA, it has the added benefit of being made by the FDA.
They will accept the output from the builder for purposes of the food defense part of FSMA.

Hi Simon,
Re- the FDA defense builder, the associated links in this post looked as though maybe useful (unless already included in the main package :dunno: )
