My name is Hernando Garcia, an I´m a chemical engineer graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in 1986.

I started to work at Montes y Compañia, Mexico´s leader in the manufacturing of milk candies. I worked there for 12 years, last function as a Quality Assurance Manager. We certified Montes under ISO-9001 quality system norm. I was in charge, among other things, of assuring compliance to, specially, American and also international food regulations: Labeling, Additives, GMP´s, Developing Implementing Quality Systems for Foods (HACCP, ISO-9000), Pest control activities, Performing and evaluating compliance to Quality Systems, selecting approved food additives for different products, Analyzing and solving quality issues regarding product and consumer complaints, etc.

Since 1998, I started to offer independent consulting services for industries and government agencies promoting exportation activities, giving speeches courses and conferences for Bancomext, ProMexico, and also for the governments of Puebla, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Michoacan, Nayarit, Chihuahua and Sinaloa. I have also worked to Camara de la Industria Alimenticia de Jalisco, COMCE de Occidente/ Michoacan and Consejo Agropecuario de Jalisco concerning topics related to American Food Regulation.

Among the industries that have requested our services in Food Labeling. GMP, Registration of food facilities, and developing and implementation of Food Quality Systems are: Chupaletas, Dulces de la Rosa, Productos Alteño, Cacahuates Kurumaya, Salsas Michel, Chocolates Lussel and many more.

·         I have full experience in organizing itineraries for travel, developing audit and training activities, reporting results and promoting follow up activities.

·         I have more than 25 year experience in performing quality audits in HACCP and ISO-9000 and 22000 standards.

·         I have the skills to effectively communicate audiences both in English and Spanish, orally and written.
