Contract Manufacturers and labeling

Hello Everyone,

My company is producing a syrup that will require a neck label. We currently do not have the machinery to place the neck labels so we are doing this manually. We are looking to sending these bottles to a company that will hand label these for us. The bottles will be sealed and labels with nutritional information applied prior to shipment. What steps would have to be taken to comply with SQF 2.3.4? We have never used co-packers in the past so this is all new to us.

Thank you,

Brittany

A company that puts labels on your products is not a contract manufacturer.

If they were making your product and the labels indicate you as the company that is a contract manufacturer.

It appears this would fall under service provider or supplier.
