Prop 65 Calculations
Hi Everyone!
Is there a way to calculate safe harbor limits of a chemical that is listed on the prop 65 list but does not have a NSRL or MADL limit?
Also is there a way to convert µg/serving to µg/day? How can we estimate how much of any given product the customer is going to consume in one day?
Thanks for your help in advance.
There is a ton of research available on peoples eating habits, I would start by just googling
"how much XXX do people consume in a month/day/year" and use that as your guide
which chemical specifically?
There was a similar thread on this recently, that you may find useful for reference: https://www.ifsqn.co...sions-to-ugday/
We are worried about amount of heavy metals in our products.
I expect you can make a good case if you sell a breakfast food that one serving a day is the expected intake.
If it is a snack, then take the largest nutrient that would exceed RDI if double or tripled, 4x etc.; at which point you could say the calories or fat will get them before the metal????
A little tongue in cheek but it might help.
Dave
That is a good idea!
