Thoughts on replacing glove dips with hand sanitizer stations
Currently we have glove dips for instances of light soil where someone adjusted their hairnet or picked a hose off of the floor. I would like to replace the glove dips with hand sanitizer stations instead. Thoughts?
Hi asaeger,
I'm not familiar with 'glove dips'; at my facility we would require a hand wash and glove-change for the scenarios described. The below thread however is a little old but has substantial information on the topic of glove dips and hand sanitising - may be worth a read:
I worked at a company that had glove dips, honestly you can never be too careful. If it comes down to touching something not food related, they should change their gloves because what if they dont dip their hands? or use the sanitation stations? Food safety wise I always think worse case scenario, so it becomes a lot of clove changes until the habit is learned not to touch the face or any other non food contact surface.
