Hello all,

I hope everyone is well and staying safe.

I am temporarily filling in for a colleague and am looking to you all for help.

I have a question regarding verification of cleaning swabbing.

What are acceptable limits for ACC swabbing after a cleaning and sanitation?

I am under the impression that after cleaning and sanitation,  the ACC levels should be undetectable?

Cleaning and sanitation was completed at the end of day and swabs were taken the next morning.

ACC levels came back at 40 and 10 for two test sites.

Can anyone provide examples of how they handle this kind of a deviation.

I am going to swab again and send in as maybe this could be sample error but I would appreciate any input.

Thank you.

Best regards

APB

It may relate to what you are processing ?

offhand, yr data looks remarkably low if the unit is cfu/cm2

Hello Charles,

Thank you.

We are a bakery.

Yes,  I just found some documentation from the program stating that ACC/TPC limits are <1000 cfu/swab so the results I got are acceptable.

Thank you so much for the link.

I will check it out.

Unfortunately swab data have limited comparitive value unless you know the area swabbed.

Regardless yr data look low assuming analytical procedure is standard.

Hello Charles,

The swabbed area is 10cm x 10cm.

Thank you.

Hi KBMB,

Thks info.

This implies result is 0.4 and 0.1 cfu/cm2 respectively.

These values are incredibly low.

Production for NASA ?.
