NCR - Risks and opportunities are not associated with food safety
Helo Sir,
Please help me to solve this NCR.
""Risk and opportunities are associated with food safety""
Thanks.
Welcome and please clarify your question, thank you.
The non-conformance is not worded clearly - FSSN 22000 requires an analysis of the FSMS to include risks and opportunities (both QA and food) in relation to needs and expectations of interested parties. Do you state in your analysis (SWOT?) that you have concluded you have no risks and opportunities (for improvement) relevant to food safety? Our auditor is very detailed in his findings and would like to see our analysis of risks / opportunities to identify both corporate and food safety relevance - althogh I don't agree LOL
Thanks
There are templates there, just look through the whole thread to the end. Beginning of this year, the above mentioned thread helped me address the audit NCR

Dear Saeed,
I would like to thank you for your precious trust!
SWOT analysis is good tool to address your internal and external strength and weakness points but keep in mind that you have to go deep into your process more and address risks that threaten your process since recieving raw materials and packagign materials till deilevering the product to customer or consumer.
One of the strength points internally could be HACCP plan and food safety aspects and machines that doing control on the process ,could be also the knowledge of the team and one of the weakness points could be implmenetation of food safety knowledge in place by workers.
for points of opportunities and threats, i believe that management shall participate in puting it since it contains econimoic factors and supply chain and regualtory things.
After doing this analysis, you could be controls and actions simply.
One of the points that tricking us when checking this clause is putting generic points overall not being specific, if you did it in a generic way, the control won't be accurate.
attached what ISO 22000:2018 said about risks and opportunities.
Note:
- SWOT divided into two sections ( internally your strength and weakness points) ( externally your opportunities and threats, things that could happened out of your hand)
- Keep your good work and use the PDF file that i attached and be more simple ;)
- PESTLE analysis could be useful also for external factors (check this link https://pestleanalys...estle-analysis/)
- This link for colleagues that asked the same question i found it here also, hope it could help https://www.ifsqn.co...-iso-220002018/
