GRAS Statements for Edible Oils

Hello Everyone,

I work on a refinery of edible oils, especially avocado and safflower. I'm wondering if these oils can be declare as GRAS because they are produced under good manufactring practices, but the ingredients are not in the FDA list.

Also I know the oils ca not be label natural because processing aids are used for the refining, does that mean it is an artificil product?

Thanks everyone!

Hola guey, que on-da!    De donde en Mexico?   Yo vivi en Queretaro unos an-yos.   (mejor que anos, no?)  jejeje.

Are these being sold in the US or Mexico, or both?  What are the processing aids?

I don't think you can just 'declare' it as GRAS, you have to jump through the hoops with the FDA, make a submission to the GRAS notification program, etc, unless your additives are already on there?

But I don't have experience in this particular area....
