Rust proof locks for a chemical cage
We are having a hard time find a lock for our chemical cage that last more than a few weeks.
We have a chemical cage inside the facility where we lock our cleaning chemicals. It's a metal framed enclosure about 10 x 10 x 8.
The door has a lock, which was replaced about 3 months ago. Since I've been here (10 months) we've gone thru multiple padlocks.
The production facility is very wet, that combined with chemicals, any lock we've found rusts very quickly.
Any ideas/suggestions?

Haven't found plastic ones yet.
Tried plastic covered. Didn't last much longer.
We use a cable lock, as far as i know, we have not had to replace the locking mechanism ever
we a wet clean facility with production humidity around 85%

Stainless, plated brass, or some other marine-grade for outdoor use type material is going to be the best bet probably.

I don't have any experience with the plastic locks. They don't seem likely to offer more than symbolic security.
McMaster Carr and Grainger both sell a plastic lock. McMaster has them for around $18.00
