Good Distribution Practices in food sector?
Hello,
I am working in the food distribution center. The company is using GMP. But we are not a manufacturing facility. I know in the medical field there is GDP but in food sector, I could not find any document.
Is there any Good Distribution Practice (GDP) in food sector?
Thanks,

I don't believe there is anything specific, just depends on your operation, any assessed risks, and who you are regulated by. Are you audited by a third party company?
I've attached SQF's Storage and Distribution Standard which you could use to base your own GMP policy off of.

Guidance for proper storage and distribution of food is typically baked-in to existing GMP frameworks. Take any food safety system like SQF, BRC, etc. and you will find a portion devoted to this concept. Following those guidelines will point you in the right direction.
If you are 3rd-party inspected, you may learn that your CB offers inspections specifically tailored to distribution warehouses. Indeed, if you are holding food in your warehouse you do need to be FDA registered and inspected as well.
Don't let yourself get caught up too much in the vernacular of "manufacturing" practices. FDA says anyone involved in food manufacturing or holding/packing falls under 21 CFR Part 117 Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
§ 117.1 Applicability and status.
(b) The operation of a facility that manufactures, processes, packs, or holds food for sale in the United States if the owner, operator, or agent in charge of such facility is required to comply with, and is not in compliance with, section 418 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act or subpart C, D, E, F, or G of this part is a prohibited act under section 301(uu) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
