Transportation Procedures

Last month we had a trailer that the seal was broken.  Background The State DOT broken the seal and make remove our product and re-seal it.

 

Dose anyone have a procedure that cover this.  Any help would be great.

No you don't need to have a procedure that covers this (as it is a special case by State and I think you already have a procedure for the case of adulteration or bioterrorism or anything else like that). However, you should require a document about this inspection from the authority, so you can have proof of why the seal was broken.

A call maybe to expalin why you need such a document and have them send you an email, stating the date, hour and reason for inspection (eg routine). If it is accompanied by a no-findings report, all the better for PR reasons.
