Secondary Labelling- Traded Products BRCGS Issue 9

Hello everyone,

Our organization operates in the baked goods industry and imports various food products for distribution. When these products arrive at the port, they are stored in port warehouses, where we apply new labels to ensure compliance with the country's labeling regulations.

Would these products be classified as traded goods, considering that we handle secondary labeling? It's worth noting that this labeling process does not take place at the site being audited.

Really appreiciate your thoghts regarding this.

Thank you in advance.

Hi SQFConsultant,

We handle the labeling process at the port because it is illegal to transport goods that do not comply with the country’s labeling regulations.
