GAO Audit of Food Safety Systems

The U.S. Government Accounting Office (GAO) just released a report on how Canada, the EU, Germany, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, and the UK do the following:
1) ensure the safety of imported food;
2) respond to outbreaks of foodborne illness;
3) measure the effectiveness of their reorganized food safety systems
