Hello everyone,

Does anyone have an idea how to write up a procedure on BRC 4.12.9 procedure shall, where appropriate, be in place for the product disposition and corrective actions for trailer/storage refrigeration equipment breakdown malfunction? Any idea what criteria or what scope I should include in this procedure?

Thank you very much in advance for your suggestion.

Best regards,
Jenny

This is what i have from our haulier, but i have asked them to stipulate a maximum time that goods will remain on a trailer, and that if the trailer goes above 8 degrees then the goods will be rejected as unfit to use.

Dear Caz / Jenny,

Nice extract. I can recall seeing an encyclopedia-size volume used by refrigerated container companies from which this is probably an extract. I guess they are obliged to do this for their own protection / insurance so good luck with yr requested addition. They also IMEX maintain pre-start up checklist data which can be prised out of them given sufficient cause, eg BRC requirements. I suppose the (obligatory?) container temperature charts reveal deviations but these are not easily obtained IMEX.

I also recall seeing some satellite data showing a delay due to "traffic jams" curiously correlated timewise to various eating places.
