Validating temperature of washing machine
HI
Can anybody point me in the right direction.
I am after buying some temperature strips to place in a washing machine as we wash our own cutting gloves on site and I need to validate my temperatures.
Your help would be appreciated

Hi Aps,
We are a BRC grade A site and buy our temperature strips from the below link;
http://www.amazon.co...8051_TE_3p_dp_1
The auditors have had no problems with its use :spoton:
Basically, the strips have 3 white squares with temp indicators (71, 76.5 and 82°c).
Work wear is washed at 90°c, once washed the white squares turn a black/ grey colour. Our procedure state the wash should reach above 70°c - so at least one square should change colour after wash.
The strips can then be removed from clothing and placed on to a form for auditors to see.
Hope this helps.
i found an interesting product from Thermoworks called DishTemp. You put it in the dishwasher and it measures and stores the highest temperature.
To repeat Post 2 -
what is the specific objective ?
eg what is required temperature and for how long to be maintained at the (presumably) glove surface.
minimum 75degC instantaneously ?
