Drain Sanitation Recommendations

Hi all,

I am in need of some drain sanitation ideas that are cost-effective. We are not on a continuous production schedule so there is plenty of down time. We produce dietary supplement ingredients, most are oil based dispersions in water. We currently clean our systems with Cosmic and sanitize with Quorum. We were told to look into the Quat drain rings but my purchasing dept did not like the price so well. I'm wondering if there is another alternative that has worked for people?

Thanks!

Contacing any drain cleaning company is the reliable solution to the problem.

Hey there! It's great to hear you're looking for drain sanitation ideas for your dietary supplement ingredient production.

You can check out their website at www.maida.com.au to see if any of their products and services are a good fit for your needs.
In terms of alternatives to Quat drain rings, it might be worth exploring other types of drain sanitizers, such as foam-based or enzymatic cleaners. These can effectively break down organic material in drains, which can help prevent buildup and reduce the risk of contamination. Regularly flushing your drains with hot water can also help keep them clean.

Hi,

We purchased quat drain rings and found that they were not very helpful in our facility so will not purchase again.

We scrub and foam with a peracetic acid product. We are looking at fogging drains with Decon7 to eliminate the need for constant scrubbing.
