Disinfectant Wipes-Organic Production Runs

Hello,

I am looking for an approved disinfectant wipe for organic production runs that is safe for product contact surfaces.  The disinfectant wipes are for in process production and used to wipe down product contact surfaces if needed.  We currently use Alpet D2 sanitize wipes, but this wipe is not approved for Organic production without an interfering step such as rinsing before product contact. Does anyone use a disinfectant wipe that is organic approved?  I've searched many sites, but cannot find one that is approved for food contact and organic.

Thank you,

Nicole

This link is not terribly helpful, but might get you going in the right direction.

Have you checked OMRI or Washington State Department of Ag? I looked briefly at OMRI and found a few approved disinfectants but none in wipe form. Maybe ethyl alcohol wipes?

Get the dry wipes and replaceable containers from Best Sanitizer's and instead of using the D2 product solution, use their new Quat-Free D2 solution which I believe is organic approved.

Ethyl Alcohol needs an intervening step which the Quat Free D2 solution has.  Thanks for the help though!

Did you ever find a solution that works for you? I am on the same quest and I have only found one so far: Spray Chem Organic Sanitizer 5%, but even that one contains acetic acid, though in what concentration I'm not sure. Any direction would be greatly appreciated

Acetic acid is available to buy in bulk in an organic format

We produce organic acidified foods and use ALOT of vinegar LOL

You could then make your own wipes.........I have seen organic acetic acid in concentrations as high as 30% or 300 grains

Also, I believe PAA is now organic acceptable for use without a post use rinse
