Backflow testing form
Hello all,
I am having trouble finding someone certified to do backflow testing in my area. My question is can this be done in house by our maintenance crew? If so, do you preform this monthly, annually...? Do you have an example form for this that your crew fills out ?
Thanks in advance!
Ours is done by the fire extinguisher company. They do our back flow and check our sprinklers.
At my current place of employment our water is supplied through the city and they check the backflow once annually. They bill us on the following months water bill and supply us with a certificate, extremely simple.
Last place of employment we were on a well and had a plumbing company test annually. As others mentioned I'd hire a company to do the test. If i recall it was around $100. If you have mechanics in-house complete the backflow testing be ready to show your auditor that they are trained on the backflow as well as have a in-house check that it was completed.
Thank you all for the responses! I will ask our fire extinguisher company ( I did not think of that!) or we may have to reach out to plumbers in surrounding towns.
Hope you all have a great day!
