Reducing Incubation Time for Yeast Mold Testing

Hi,

 

Conventional method for YM takes 5days incubated at 25°C. We validate reduce the incubation days 3days incubated at  22.5°C product with High aw (water activity level). Base on result no significant different .

 

Asking if I skip out steps or method during validation.

Have you looked into rapid yeast/mold petrifilm? Its incubation time is only 48 hrs @ 25C. 

Also, there is compact dry method which requires 3 days of incubation.
