Work wear laundry

Can anyone vouch for a UK workwear laundry company who can consistently provide a high quality, food industry standard laundering service. All I want is the workwear to be returned:

1. Clean
2. Ironed
3. On time
4. The original size

Thanks,
Simon

Shall I take it they're all rubbish?

Yes

In my experience they are all pretty poor.
OK Brooks are the most unprofessional outfit I've ever come across in the work wear laundry field. They can sue me if the want but they won't because it's true, they:

 Missed the start date of the contract
 Lost half the measurements of staff consequently half the overalls didn't arrive
 Put the wrong logo on all the garments
 We specified no pockets on upper garments, garments duly arrived with lovely deep pockets
 Scheduled to pick up and drop off 3X per week. Missed this the first week so staff had no clean garments to wear
 All overalls have shrunk by about 3 sizes
 Overalls come back extremely creased

Work wear laundry is all Brooks do, so how is it they are utterly rubbish at it?

Regards,
Simon
We use a company called Sunlight Services, who are extremely poor. Not only do they send garments back looking worse than when they were sent, they also have a tremendous knack of losing garments for up to 3 weeks at a time.
I also have a problem with the new starts, we have a member of staff who has been here now for around 4 months and still her work wear has not arrived, and the annoying thing is every time I call them to chase these garments they assure me they eill be in with the next delivery.
We were thinking of using another supplier, although from the looks of things they are all as bad as each other!!
Hi John,

Well that's both the ones I know of. I've heard that it's a cut-throat industry with low margins and low wages, still that's no excuse for creases.

Are there any others? Is anyone happy with their laundry?

Regards,
Simon
We use Johnsons (apparelwear??)

The chap who does the round (area manager - funny title for a driver :D ) is excellent and wil always get things sorted, however the office/admin side is appalling.

So much so that we have bought garments and provide them (ensuring the company name is on them and therefore ensure no tax liability to the staff and company)

I think you can generally say they are all awful

Dear Simon,

We are presently stuck with Sunlight (not very good to say the least), however LINDSTROM are the one we are opting for when we get out of the contract, but be aware they do not provide hats. Andy (area sales manager) is a very good man.

Regards,

Steve
I'll ask you how good they are in about 6 months.

Cheers Steve.

we use brooks, they have been really good...Ive used them previously too and had no problems....They provide us with temporary wear whilst ours get made etc, and i recently audited their facility in north wales which was really good.
Sunlight aren't the best!!! and rentokil Initial dont provide the service anymore only for existing customers...dont know of any others sorry

Really I find that quite surprising, from my experience Brooks stink. I suppose as with any large company with multiple locations the quality of service varies a lot. Same system so must be down to good management and good people.

Thanks,
Simon

I also found that suprising Simon, we used Brooks in Manchester until 18 months ago and they would have had to improved hugely to be poor, we changed to Texicare who alas are no better, when they remember to return garments they seem to take a pride in how much they can crease them.

There's a huge opportunity awaiting the laundry who can supply clean, uncreased overalls, on time and to the right location and locker. They can send man to the moon (allegedly) but good overall systems...

I guess because North Wales is tiny compared to other places, perhaps thats why the service is better??!!!!
