Help us Learn More About Our Visitors

We’re carrying out a demographics survey to get a better idea of the make up of the IFSQN audience. As you know we sell a limited amount of advertsing space to support our website. When trying to sell ads it’s important to have this information as companies will ask about your visitors demographics. Please help us by answering the survey.

Thanks,
Simon

Following some feedback I have expanded the choices in the survey. If anyone would now like to change their vote let me know what you voted and what you want to change to. It's better to get it right early on as this survey will be running indefinitely.

Dear All,

Just in case some people (which included me) are geographically not brilliant, an interpretation of Middle East and Far East can be found here -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far_East

PS - HACCP Manager is an interesting terminology
No ISO 9000 Management Representatives ? (I know, it's an infinite list )

Thanks Charles. You're right the list could have been endless. I think iso 9000 mgmt rep would probably come under qa/qc manager.

Great response. Thanks everyone.

Dear All,

Food Safetyt and Quality network can cover all Food safety and quality standards ( I think there is more than 100 stds.) and legal requirements of all countries.

Different models and approches regarding to Food Safety and Quality standards.

Regarding to Worker health and safety, environmental health and safety, social responsibilities subjects can be more improtant subject to discuss as well as the subjects related Food safety and Quality

Regarding to food packaging sector in the world, requirements to produce safe packagşng produts for the market, the problems in the sector related food safety and the situation of the products related human health and all realities can be another subject.

Technological innovations regarding to packaging and processing of agricultural and food products like IQF technology, freeze drying technology, etc.

Good Agricultural Applications and all related leagl requiremnts in the world, good applications, etc can be another subject to discuss

Good Laboratory applications, etc. can be another subject..
Hi Ayşegül, thanks for your comments. Yes there are many more standards and subjects and we could have many, many more forums specifically for discussing these issues. In fact we used to have a lot more forums than we do now, especially on business, quality, health & safety, corporate social responsibility etc., but we found that they were not used so much. In some ways the more forums there are members spend too much time trying to find the correct forum to put their question, hence the decision to keep it simple with less forums. As administrator this is something I keep my eye on and if a subject is becoming more popular I do open up a forum for that particular subject. And of course I'm always open to ideas and opportunities for improvements.

Thanks for your comments,
Simon
Looking at the survey results I think we did a good job on breaking down 'Indsutry Sector' as there are only a few who have voted "other", but there are too many "other" for my linking in 'Country of Origin' and 'Job Function'. Can anybody spot any major omissions?

Thanks,
Simon
Dear Simon,

Possibly Scandinavia for one.

It's certainly not easy to be 100% comprehensive, eg this system attempts a similar thing -

added - I noticed there is also a large number of "unlocated" in yr previous stats list.

Possibly Scandinavia for one.

Not sure about Scandinavia Charles; Sweden, Finland and Denmark are EU countries. Only Norway and Iceland are outside. You’re right it’s a difficult job trying to keep it down to a manageable list. Just had a thought, maybe it’s the ex Soviet Union countries.

Regards,
Simon

I presume you intended "Europe" to be the political "European Union" rather than a geographical term. The former is certainly more well-defined but I opted for the latter (particularly on noting the considerable number of (mainly silent) Norway hits in yr prev.stats of 2007 + I seemed to remember collecting a few votes ex Scandinavia when I used it previously).

Unfortunately, Wiki totally doesn't support me and includes them all in Europe geographical! Wrong yet again .
I wonder what the Scandinavians think ? Sorry,

Conclusion - Another Mary Celeste scenario.

I wasn't so precise Charles. I think I was thinking of Europe in a Eurovision Song Contest context, in which case almost the entire world is European.

Thanks for the feedback Spyrogyra, could you be classed as QC/QA Manager with responsibility for quality, environmental and food safety management systems?
Hello Simon!
You have South America but you didn´t include Mexico and Central America. I´m betting lots of users are from Mexico.
