Was wondering if BRC Start! certification scheme is popular in Canada, accepted by retailers, and who of certification bodies within Canada providing their services in this area.

BRC Start! is intended to act as a stepping stone to full certification by turning the daunting tasks of getting certified into multiple manageable chunks.

It's fully GFSI recognized, but if you want to inspire confidence in customers, I would lay out the roadmap for your organization immediately. When do you plan to reach full certification?

 

You can't be Start! certified forever and have retailers accept that indefinitely.
